For the last 24 years I have worked exclusively in the area of federal criminal law. I have been retained during that time by numerous well-established attorneys to work on many high profile cases: e.g. Operations Green Ice and Bandana (DEA op’s), U.S. v. Reyes, U.S. v. Quinones (both drug smuggling Custom officials), U.S. v. Contreras-Subias (international Mexican drug kingpin), U.S. v. Polania (former inspector Columbia National Bank), U.S. v. Velez (former regional director for the central bank of Mexico)[both international money launderers] U.S. v. Gallegos-Gonzalez 3 F.3d, 325 (9th Cir. 1993) [published opinion] U.S. v. Daniel Carpenter (military trial) ect… In other cases, I moved the 9th Circuit to admonish and force the chief judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California to close down a criminal settlement conference created by local order. This conference was in violation of Fed.Rules.Crim.Proc. 11. [U.S. v. Delgadillo, 9th Cir. U.S.C.A. No.93-50502] Furthermore, I moved the U.S. Attorney’s Office to submit a request to the U.S. Sentencing Commission for Congress to review the restructuring of a sentencing adjustment regarding quantities of forged instruments. I also required a special U.S. Attorney assigned from Washington D.C. to prosecute a 1600 kilo cocaine case to withdraw a superseding indictment count of a continuing criminal enterprise (CCE) due to outrageous government conduct.
Attorney Thomas A. Mix, one of my contract clients, commented on my ability as a paralegal. In a reference letter he states: “Jack is a very intelligent person with a strong work ethic… What sets him apart from other paralegals that I have worked with is that he genuinely cares for the clients I have represented. He will leave no stone unturned to champion a client’s case, no matter how desperate the facts may be.”
I have been the drafter of a vast quantity of documents from pretrial motions through sentencing and post-conviction remedies. I am an expert in the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. I have briefed and drafted appeals and writs from cases with thousands of documents. My research, writing and analytical skills are excellent. I am well versed in most legal databases and software support programs.
I am positive that I have the ability to be a major contributor to a law firm. Your thoughtful consideration of my resume will be appreciated.
I observed all the paralegal resume listings under jobs and could not find the link to upload my resume so I posted it here.
I wanted to post my resume under jobs but I could not find the link to upload my resume. Can someone please direct me. Thank you.
